TUV RHEINLAND issued in February 2015 the ISO 9001:2001 Quality Management Systems (QMS) certificate to Ayala Alabang Village Association (AAVA), Inc. for satisfying the requirements required by ISO 9001:2008 standards.
The recommendation was announced during the closing meeting in December 2014 between TUV Rheinland auditors and AAVA management representatives as well as the auditees, which was held at the Conference Room in Narra Street. Prior to this certification auditors from TUV conducted two-day audits to verify if AAVA meets the needs of customers (residents, tenants) and other stakeholders (employees, suppliers, special members) while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements. The scope of audit was particularly on provision of Security Services, Infrastructure Maintenance and Property Regulatory Control, Administrative and Management of Community and External Relation. On the last day of audit, TUV auditors were convinced that AAVA has no major non-conformity to the standard that would hinder the issuance of compliance certificate.
ISO 9001:2008 standard requires that AAVA establish, document, and implement all procedures needed to effectively practice quality management as stated in its Quality Policy and Quality Objectives, which form part of AAVA Quality Manual with the ultimate goal of ensuring Customer Satisfaction focus in all aspects of AAVA’s operations.
In his article that appeared in December 20-26, 2014 issue of AAVA News, Mr. Epifanio S. Joaquin, AAVA President said: "AAVA needed this system if only to improve the way it works to deliver various services to our residents." He added: "It was indeed a triumph for all our AAVA employees who believed in the goal of improving the organization's performance through the ISO 9001 system to benefit the residents."
AAVA to date has 15 trained and certified internal auditors who were primarily tasked to ensure Quality Management Systems practices all throughout the AAVA’s day-to-day tasks. ISO 9001:2008 helps ensure that Ayala Alabang Village (AAV) residents get consistent, good quality services, at par with international standards.
